ANTISEMITISM IN THE ARAB WORLD: A BRIEF OVERVIEW - 2023
The announcement of the Abraham Accords in August 2020 stirred dormant conspiracy theories in the Arab world,with one particularly prevalent and deeply antisemitic narrative suggesting a Jewish-Zionist-American conspiracyto establish a new religion called "al-Ibrahimiyya." This alleged plot aimed at undermining Islam and was widelydisseminated through manifestos, fatwas, articles, books, and conferences, finding expression among clerics,academics, and commentators from Cairo to London. Some versions of this conspiracy were rooted in fabricatedpamphlets and selective interpretations of the Quran, portraying Jews as satanic demons and earthlyrepresentatives of evil.

Egypt: It’s hard to live here - REPORT
This 50-page report examines the situation of refugees living in Egypt. Based on a study conducted, a picture was formed of the needs of refugee communities – primarily Syrian – in Alexandria, Damietta and Cairo. The study outlines the major factors affecting the rights and quality of life of refugees in Egypt (in particularly Syrian), and recommends what may be done to help their situation. This report aims to present the findings of the study, outlining the key findings to both raise awareness and advocate on behalf of refugee communities living in Egypt.
The Swedish Observatory remembers Razan Zaitouneh
8 years, and 10 months ago, Razan Zaitouneh was kidnapped in Douma, Syria. The Swedish Observatory for Human Rights Information calls on the United Nations, international and regional actors, and all parties to the Syrian conflict to actively facilitate an investigation into what happened to Razan Zaitouneh.
