This alleged plot aimed at undermining Islam and was widelydisseminated through manifestos, fatwas, articles, books, and conferences, finding expression among clerics,academics, and commentators from Cairo to London. This 50-page report examines the situation of refugees living in Egypt. Based on a study conducted, a picture was formed of the needs of refugee communities – primarily Syrian – in Alexandria, Damietta and Cairo. The study outlines the major factors affecting the rights and quality of life of refugees in Egypt (in particularly Syrian), and recommends what may be done to help their situation. This report aims to present the findings of the study, outlining the key findings to both raise awareness and advocate on behalf of refugee communities living in Egypt.
