Dr. Jakub Julian Czepek is a lawyer and academic with wide experience in international human rights law. Apart from his academic career, he’s been cooperating with numerous law firms as an expert in the area of applications to European Court of Human Rights. He is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Human Rights Protection and International Humanitarian Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. His scientific research focuses on the European Convention on Human Rights and human rights protection within the Council of Europe and UN systems. He specializes in international law and international human rights law. Jakub’s main area of interest is the functioning and case-law of the European Court of Human Rights. He is an author of numerous publications concerning state’s positive obligations, enforced disappearances, pilot judgment procedure, prohibition of torture and human rights in general. Dr. Jakub Czepek is a member of the UN-Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture.
